Word around the Xbox at 6a is that legendary X-SNL’RS Adam Sandler and Tim Meadows will be reuniting for the first time in 15 years! On Fallon! And ((bonus rumor)) if what I’m hearing is true, then Sandler and Meadows (who refuse to be even in the same room as each other) will do the unthinkable: reprise their classic SNL sketch characters… Captain Jim & Pedro. That’s right, CJ&P!
As any SNL super fan knows, CJ&P was the last Sandler and Meadows sketch the two ever performed together. Rumors are that after the final CJ&P sketch, Sandler and Meadows got into a fist fight, and have not spoken since. In the SNL tell all Live From NY, S&M declined to discuss the rumors. Why have they decided to bury the hatchet now? Why on LNWJF? WOW.
Fingers crossed that Fallon does his impressons of SMCJ&P!
Fallon must be getting nostalgic for his old guitar-jinks. The latest buzz is that in an effort to retool the late night formula Jimmy will be swapping the ever-sacred monologue with a live guitar hero jam. Keep in mind this will probably be a one time thing (i.e. shameless plug) Our sources say that…
“there’s definitely the desire to experiment. We’re trying to connect with a younger audience who tend to find monologues in general to be a bit stale. From time to time we’re going to shake things up and see what works and what doesn’t. “
I can vouch for that. I’m all for tradition, but Late Night could use these kind of shakeups. Either way I could see this becoming a staple, or a nail in the coffin.

Word from the writer’s room is that Fallon will be reading the Book of Revelation in its entirety on Late Night this week. My guess is he’ll space it out over multiple shows, as having an entire show devoted to it would be INSANE! The NBC higher ups must be scratching their heads on this one. My prophecy? Some kind of easter ploy (that or Fallon is a closet apocalypto). Still though… WTF?!?!
I can just imagine Jimmy now:

Ok mystery over (or has it just begun?) Sting is giving his Last Lecture on night 2!! That means (you guessed it!) Sting will be performing Harikari on his 3rd and final appearance. What we’re talking about here is a late 16th century Qing Dynasty era ceremonial suicide. Yowsh! Is this some kind of ratings stunt?!? Personally, I find this extremely hard to believe but then again it is Sting (tantric sex / organic foods), and I could see him going this way. How’s Jimmy’s gonna handle this? Week 5 and he’s already got the first televised late night death!
Mark my words: If this happens this will be the BIGGEST moment in the history of late night comedy. And it’s gonna happen on Jimmy Fallon!
In addition to Sting performing 3 nights in a row he will now be joining Fallon at the desk. The buzz around 6A is that Sting will be giving his “Last Lecture.” A “Last Lecture” (a la Wikipedia) is generally given just prior to one’s death.
What’s the deal?! Is Sting dying??? I’ve heard nothing about this. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more. Send in the tips if you got ‘em.
